Unlike my illustrated footprint designs, this artwork can be created using your child’s real handprint or footprint.

Simply send me a clear photograph or scan of the print. I’ll carefully prepare the image, tidy minor imperfections where needed and use it to create your finished foil artwork.

Your design can be personalised with your child’s name, date of birth, birth details, special dates, a short message or quote, or other meaningful wording.

Choose the foil finish that best suits your design and home:

Gold Foil – a warm, luxurious metallic finish that catches the light beautifully.

Silver Foil – a contemporary, elegant finish that’s perfect for modern and neutral interiors.

Unlike a printed metallic effect, the foil is physically applied to the artwork, creating a genuine reflective finish that changes beautifully as it catches the light.

Because I individually foil each piece, very slight variations can naturally occur. This is part of the character of a hand-finished foil print and makes every piece unique.

How to Take Your Handprint or Footprint

Simple tips for achieving the best result

For the clearest finished artwork, create your print on plain white paper using a child-safe ink, paint or inkless print kit. A dark print against a light background is easiest for me to work with.

Once dry, either scan the print or photograph it from directly above in good natural light. Try to keep the entire hand or foot visible and the photograph as sharp as possible.

Don’t worry if the print contains a few small smudges or imperfections. I can usually tidy these during the design process while retaining the individual characteristics of your child’s print.

Don’t Have an Actual Print?

I can still create a beautiful keepsake for you

If you are unable to provide your child’s actual handprint or footprint, I can use my example footprint artwork instead.

Simply provide the measurements you would like me to work from and I can resize the example design accordingly.

Please remember that in this case the footprint is example artwork and not a recreation of your child’s individual footprint pattern.

Because of the specialist process I use to apply the metallic foil, A3 prints and digital downloads are not available for this particular design.

Frame Information

Professionally mounted and ready to display

Choose the framed option and your A4 artwork will be professionally mounted with an even white border and finished in an elegant 11 × 14 inch frame.

As with my other framed designs, you can choose from:

• White
• Black
• Oak Effect

Each frame is UK sourced and fitted with a crisp white mount and premium Perspex rather than glass, making it lighter and safer for delivery and display.

Your Proof

Check everything before I create the final foil finish

I’ll send you a digital proof before your artwork is foiled, giving you the opportunity to check the layout, spelling, dates and personalisation.

If something doesn’t look quite right, you can request up to three amendments at no additional charge.

Once you have approved your proof, I’ll create and foil your final print.

Information I’ll Need

When ordering, please provide your child’s name, date of birth or special date, and any personal message or wordingyou would like included.

You’ll also need to send a clear photograph or scan of the handprint or footprint you would like me to use and select either gold or silver foil.

Please check names and dates carefully, although you will also have the opportunity to check everything when you receive your proof.
